The Cluster for Logistics visits Korea and Japan

The Cluster for Logistics is part of the economic mission to South Korea and Japan from October 5th to 10th 2014, headed by HRH the Hereditary Grand Duke in company with HRH the Grand Duchess heiress. The mission is being led by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Mr Étienne Schneider and the Minister of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure Mr François Bausch.

The business delegation accompanying the grand-ducal couple and ministers during this trade mission consists of sixty representatives of 30 companies from many sectors of the Luxembourg economy, including logistics, ICT, automotive, tourism, life sciences and the film industry. Mr Charles Gosselin, Manager of the Cluster for Logistics participates to several logistics-oriented workshops during the mission. The logistics sector is growing rapidly in Asia and it is important to position Luxembourg as a hub.

The delegation visited the 27th edition of the International Air Cargo Forum and Exhibition, one of the largest and most prestigious events in the field of air freight, where Minister François Bausch met the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport of South Korea, Hyung-ku Yeo. Minister Etienne Schneider gave a positive assessment of the economic mission to South Korea, which helped strengthen the good relations between the two countries and make promising contacts.
