Last September, the Chamber of Commerce led a ‘Belt & Road’ trade mission to China, and hosted a forum titled ‘Silk Road enhances deep cooperation’ in Zhengzhou, Henan. More than 125 people participated in the forum and deepened their exchanges by individual negotiations between Henan business people and Luxembourg delegation.

Henan is the birthplace of Chinese civilisation with over 3,000 years of recorded history, and remained China's cultural, economic, and political center until approximately 1,000 years ago. Today, with its location of the central plain, Henan Province becomes China’s logistics hub, Henan is the 5th largest provincial economy of China and the largest among inland provinces.

Since the establishment of the relation between HNCA and Cargolux in 2013, the exchanges between the province and Luxembourg have become more frequent and meaningful. During last visit of the Vice-governor of the province on August 2017, the Luxembourg business community has learnt that ‘Win Henan is win China’, just as the Chinese people’s understanding of ‘Win Luxembourg is win Europe’.

The event is multi-sectorial with focus on the fields of Logistics, Cross border E-commerce, Food, Automotive components, Electronics, Tourism, etc. The individual business meetings will be organised for Chinese and Luxembourg companies during the conference. A panel discussion with the focus on China (Henan) - Luxembourg logistics perspectives will be moderated by the Cluster for Logistics.

Interested companies are invited duly to fill in the online registration no later than 28th June, 2018. For further information, please contact the International Affairs team of the Chamber of Commerce:
