Join the GDP Pharma MMCS Program by BSI and Poseidon
Divers

BSI, the National Standards Body, and Poseidon, the independent pharmaceutical logistics network, are bringing their joint resources and expertise together to develop and execute a Multi-mode Compliance and Standards (MMCS) program to help promote, monitor and assess adherence to the GDP (Good Distribution Practice) regulations that underpin global pharmaceutical logistics.

A first workshop on July 8th 2021 gave an overview of the MMCS program and the standardisation needs for GDP. Experts from BSI and Poseidon gave an interpretation of the prevailing local and international GDP regulations and guidelines for each of the main long-haul transport modes and provided a full range of GDP support, standard development, assessment and training services. Workshop Convenors were BSI Sector Development Director, Healthcare - Courtney Foster and Poseidon Executive Director - Alan Kennedy.

We were extremely pleased with the exceptional number and quality of the attendees, their engagement, and the very positive reaction to the MMCS concept. The feedback received has been excellent. Please watch the recording of the webinar below.

However we appreciate that not everyone was able to make it to what was a full 90-minute session. Therefore as part of our industry consultation process, we are asking if you would like to register your interest in the program?

Registration for MMCS Program

By doing so you will receive ongoing MMCS information and updates as well as get the opportunity to participate in the Market Liasion Committee and other activities should you desire.

Once registered we will be sending you...

  • a copy of the MMCS Manifesto containing a summary of the program proposition
  • a copy of a paper entitled "Getting More Value from Logistics Quality - optimising logistics quality management for efficient compliance, competitive advantage and customer value"

...and we will also reply to the oustanding questions we received during the session.

Note that your registration is for information dissemination purposes and does not require any express commitment from you to participate in, or contribute to, the MMCS program. However, as a global, industry-wide initiative we are keen to solicit as much intelligence as we can from the field to ensure that the program accurately reflects the quality, compliance and GDP needs of this rapidly changing market place. So we hope that you will be happy to share your knowledge and, perhaps, take a part, however small, in this ground-breaking initiative.
