We are pleased to welcome Dr.-Ing. Rolf Bauer, pilot at Lufthansa and co-founder of iViation GmbH, as our speaker. Under the title “Cargo Without a Cockpit: The Radical Transformation Begins,” he will provide fascinating insights into the future of autonomous air freight. His presentation will focus on how unmanned aircraft will transform logistics and air cargo in the coming years. Dr. Bauer will show the potential of autonomous flight solutions and how they can set new standards for efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Dr. Rolf Bauer is co-founder and COO of iViation GmbH as well as a pilot at Lufthansa. He holds a doctorate in aerospace engineering and has more than 20 years of experience in aviation. After studying at the University of Stuttgart, where he specialized in aircraft design and aerodynamics, he worked as an aeronautical engineer and flight instructor. He later took on various roles at Lufthansa as a pilot and flight instructor. Since 2018, he has served as COO at iViation, where he is responsible for the operational development and implementation of innovative concepts for autonomous cargo flight solutions that set new benchmarks for efficiency and sustainability in air transport.
