The Cluster took part in the national stand in Turkey

The largest exhibition for transport and logistics in Turkey opened its gates from November Wednesday 19th to Friday 21st 2014The Cluster for Logistics participated as well and was part of the national stand organised by the Ministry of Economy and Luxembourg for Business. Next to the Cluster many actors from Luxembourg were present: Arthur Welter Transports, Cargolux, Centre de Recherche Public Henri Tudor, CFL multimodal, CHAMP Cargosystems and Transalliance Europe.

The event organised by Messe München and EKO gathers many regional companies but it is attracting more international actors every year. Next to Luxembourg, the Czech Republic was also present as a country for the first time. There were also be joint exhibits from Germany and Austria, both of which have exhibited there in previous years. A few days ago, logitrans 2014 came to a close as a complete success with an impressive increase in participants of more than 22%.

More than 14,428 participants from 26 countries took part in logitrans and exhibitors had plenty of opportunities to gain a sustainable foothold on the Turkish market and acquire new customers. Turkey is a booming country with an interesting internal market of almost 80 million inhabitants. Especially the industrial output and consumption is rising fast. In parallel the logistics sector expanded considerably and the country is becoming a major regional distribution hub. Next to Luxembourg and German companies many Russian and Eastern European actors were present at Logitrans to explore possible collaborations.
