Luxinnovation's Fit 4 Sustainability program helps companies to identify their challenges and find solutions. The program is designed to allow a substantial financial support of studies, like energy audits or carbon footprint analyses, which can serve as the basis for the next steps, says Emmanuelle Kipper from Luxinnovation. For example, the cost of environmental studies will be cofinanced by the Ministry of the Economy (S: 70% M: 60% L: 50% of the cost). It is important to apply for the grant BEFORE signing a quotation/paying a deposit.

The next step could be an SME package or Environmental Impact Aid which will finance projects regarding Energy Efficiency, Carbon Footprint, Waste reduction or Water quality. The SME packages support smaller companies with 5.000 Euro (2 packages possible) with investments between 6,650 and 25,000 Euro, explained Philippe Scholten from the House of Sustainability. The temporary Environmental Impact Aid (until end of 2024) can go up to 100,000 Euro for every type of company (with investments over 7,500 euros).

In order to facilitate and accelerate the purchase of zero-emission vehicles for the transport of goods in Luxembourg, the Ministry of the Economy has launched the Financial aid for the purchase of zero-emission vehicles (categories N2 and N3). The project has to receive the green light of the ministry before any legally binding commitment, noted Randy Quintus from the Ministry of the Economy. The ceiling of the aid is currently limited 300,000 euro per group. Luxinnovation can help companies to apply to these aids, fill out the form on guichet.lu.

Next to the vehicle aid, the ministry has various aids for the investment in charging infrastructure, following a tendering process while support for SME is aimed to help smaller companies make the transition to e-mobility. Details regarding the various aids can be found in the presentations and the service can be contacted at .

It is not easy to get an overview of the CO2 emissions, especially when it comes to Scope 3, emitted by other parties, says Oliver Ritzmann, Founder of GRYN. Gryn is a carbon visibility & collaboration platform. With gryn, companies can automate their Scope 3 carbon reporting, set reduction targets & actions and track reductions. At the same time, gryn offers data validation and standardisation to improve data quality. With the Compliance Check, the data is also measured against the current regulations and thus offers an additional audit for corporate reporting.
