You are looking for good personnel in the logistics sector? Then recruit apprentices for the Diplôme de Technicien en logistique and/or join the Teachers team.

On secondary school level, students have access to  an advanced technical course for transport and warehouse organisation (Diplôme de technicien/DT). The course offers a dual training system in schools and companies that prepare students directly to work life with practical and theoretical aspects. 

The technicians diploma was introduced in 2015. The course is held in school in the 4th grade and an apprenticeship contract is required for the years 3rd to 1st. The 3rd, 2nd and 1st school years are organized according to the dual system, 3 days at the training company and 2 days in schoolThe practical training is held at the company while the school courses are in the Lycée Bonnevoie or Lycée Esch/Lallange.

Modules

Teacher selection and management

Teacher selection and management will be organized by the Cluster for Logistics in agreement with the Ministry of Education (MENJE) and with support of a quality management team of logistics experts.

Contract Modalities and Payment:
The modalities of the engagement are determined by a contract signed between C4L and the external teachers or their company. The convention between the external teacher and C4L determines the financial compensation according to certain criteria. Payment of the fee is carried out by C4L every month on documented base of hours hold either to the teacher or to the company he/she is employed at.

Timing of the courses “M2.2 Route1” and “M2.6 Route2”
1st semester: mid September – mid March / 18 weeks
2nd semester: mid March – mid July / 18 week
Course length: 3 or 4 hours per week and school. Course duration is 50 minutes per hour followed by a pause. Start 1st chosen week-day after 15th of September

Courses: Road transport (ROUTE1 M2.2 and ROUTE2 M2.6)
Language: French or German (and English key expressions)
Location/School: Lallange or Bonnevoie
Duration: 2 semesters at 3 hours per week for 18 weeks (each Thursday or Friday morning)

M 3.1 Sea freight MARIT
3x18 = 54 heures

Course material:
The course is based on existing logistics books determined by the teacher with support of the workgroup.

Additional Luxembourg, French, German, Belgium specific material shall be worked out by the teacher to ensure the teaching of appropriate context knowledge. The content can be adjusted every year as necessary.

All training institutions who wish to hire an apprentice must:

  • make a declaration of apprenticeship vacancy to the ADEM before hiring a new apprentice;
  • contact ADEM's Vocational guidance department (Service d'orientation professionnelle), who will provide a list of potential applicants
