Yesterday, the Cluster for Logistics Luxembourg had the pleasure of an insightful exchange with Serge Soucek and Michele Bodson from DGM Luxembourg-Findel Sàrl, diving deep into Vision Zero, safety culture, and the upcoming legal framework for battery transport and storage.

With the rapid rise of e‑mobility and energy‑dense technologies, the safe handling, transport and storage of batteries has become a strategic priority for our sector.

The new law introduces clearer responsibilities, higher safety standards, and a stronger focus on risk prevention, elements that resonate strongly with the Vision Zero approach.

Our discussion highlighted:

🔹 The critical role of training and awareness in preventing incidents/accidents

🔹 Practical implications of the new battery transport, storage and packing requirements for logistics operators

🔹 How companies can proactively adapt infrastructure and processes

🔹 The importance of collaboration across the supply chain to ensure both safety and operational continuity

A big thank‑you to Serge and Michele for sharing their expertise and for their long‑standing commitment to safety and security in dangerous goods management. Their insights help our community stay ahead of regulatory changes and reinforce Luxembourg’s position as a responsible and innovative logistics hub.

The transition to safer, smarter battery logistics is underway and together, we can make it a success.
