Tax Benefits & Transport Support

Carbon Tax Reduction

Lean & Green helps reduce the impact of the carbon tax by lowering fuel consumption through optimized transport flows, improved load factors, reduced mileage, and adoption of energy-efficient transport solutions.

Luxembourg introduced a CO2 tax on fuels starting January 1, 2021, which increases gradually every year.

Rail and Inland Waterway Support

  • Law of 23 December 2022 introducing financial support scheme to encourage rail and inland waterway transport
  • Grand-Ducal Regulation of 14 September 2018 setting out financial aid measures to promote inland waterway transport
  • Financial aid scheme for inland navigation, in force since 1 January 2019
