🌟 A Successful Quantum Breakfast dedicated to Quantum computing and AI in Logistics in Luxembourg! 🌟
On Wednesday 17th June, the University of Luxembourg, in partnership with the Luxembourg AI Factory and with the support of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, brought together students, researchers, industry professionals, innovators, and decision-makers for the first Quantum Breakfast of this season, dedicated to exploring the intersection of Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Logistics.
The event, expertly moderated by Lisa Burke, opened with welcome remarks from Daniel Kohl, Director of Cluster for Logistics Luxembourg - C4L, setting the stage for an engaging discussion on how emerging technologies are transforming supply chains and logistics operations.
A highlight of the morning was the keynote presentation by Prof. Benny Mantin (University of Luxembourg), who shared valuable insights into how quantum technologies and AI have the potential to reshape logistics through smarter decision-making, optimization, and supply chain resilience. We also had the pleasure of hearing from Reinhard Plaza Bartsch, Director Supply Chain Management at Vodafone, who provided an industry perspective on the challenges and opportunities ahead.
The discussions continued during an insightful round table featuring:
🔹 Lucas Fernandez, MBA (CHAMP Cargosystems)
🔹 Daniel Kohl (Cluster for Logistics)
🔹 Prof. Benny Mantin (University of Luxembourg)
🔹 Reinhard Plaza Bartsch (Vodafone)
The event concluded with inspiring closing remarks from Pascal Bouvry, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) at the University of Luxembourg.
The exchange highlighted both the promise and the practical challenges of adopting quantum and AI technologies in real-world logistics environments.
A sincere thank you to the organisation team, all speakers, participants, and partners who contributed to making this first edition a success. The strong interest and lively discussions demonstrated the growing importance of advanced technologies in shaping the future of logistics.
We look forward to continuing the conversation and exploring new opportunities for innovation within Luxembourg's logistics ecosystem.
