Workshop: Data-Readiness Check for Transport Companies

Where do you really stand – and what is your next step?

In today’s logistics environment, decisions about carriers, routes, and capacity need to be made quickly — and backed by reliable data.

But how ready is your organisation, really?

This interactive session challenges participants with a simple but critical scenario:

How quickly could you answer a high-stakes carrier decision with confidence today?

You will be guided through a structured, experience-based framework to assess your company’s data readiness.

Format: Interactive workshop – 45 minutes + 15 minutes Q&A

Language: English

 Agenda:

Participants are confronted with a concrete operational scenario: how quickly could they answer a critical carrier decision with reliable data today?

The 5-dimension scoring exercise

Each participant fills in their personal Data-Readiness Score across five dimensions:

    1. Data availability – do you have the data at all?

    2. Data quality – can you trust what you have?

    3. Data access – can the right people reach the right information?

    4. Decision relevance – are data actually used to make decisions?

    5. Future readiness – can your infrastructure grow with your needs?

Participants score themselves from 1 to 5 per dimension on a structured scoring sheet (provided as handout PDF or WORD).

Group debrief (depending if the workshop can be held interactive or more webinar like)

Where does the group see the biggest gaps? Moderated discussion based on the scores: practical, not theoretical. Participants share observations voluntarily.

 3 quick wins

Three concrete actions every transport company can take within 30 days --> no IT project, no external budget required:

    1. The data inventory (30 minutes, no tools needed)

    2. The one decision question (identifying the right first use case)

    3. The key-person test (mapping the single biggest structural risk)

 Closing & next step

Participants leave with their personal score, a priority shortlist, and one concrete next action. For companies who want to go further, we offer Data Assessment (discovery call + use case workshop + written summary) as a natural follow-up.

 Open Q&A

What participants take home:

  • Their completed scoring sheet with a personal readiness score
  • A prioritised view of where to focus first
  • Three immediately actionable steps
  • Optional: access to the Data Assessment for deeper follow-up
